FREEPORT — John McCarthy of Legacy Properties Sotheby International Realty was honored with the 2012 Allied Member of the Year Award by the Maine Innkeepers Association at its 91st annual meeting and conference in November.
The annual award is presented to an allied member of MEIA that is active in the hospitality industry and has made a significant contribution to it on behalf of the supplier community.
McCarthy has a background in Maine hospitality as his family owned and operated Smuggler’s Cove Inn in East Boothbay Harbor. He began a career as a Realtor with Prudential Northeast, and currently works for Legacy Properties-Sotheby International Realty out of its Brunswick office.
