BATH — The Bath Middle School seventh-grade girls basketball team received 11 points from Sierra Wallace in a 31-12 victory over Oak Hill on Tuesday.
The Destroyers jumped out to a 17-4 first-quarter lead, led 21-7 at the half and 27-10 through three quarters.
Marissa Parks chipped in eight points for Bath, with Margaret Keating, Aubrey Martin, Emma Goud, Madeline Mitchell and Maddie McDonough figuring in the scoring.
Macie Gagne, Mae Winglass, Eva Machinitzky, Sophie Wilson, Lauren Boubel and Mariah Albertson all played well on the defensive end.
In the eighth-grade contest, Bath fell to Oak Hill 41-38 in a close one.
Noa Sreden had 12 points to pace the Destroyers, who led 14-12 after one frame, trailed 21-17 at the half and led 34-31 through three quarters of play.
Bath had a chance to tie the game late, but a last-gasp 3- pointer fell short at the buzzer.
Paige Daigle, Hope Faulkingham and Karen Yurek were strong on the inside post. Defensively, Isabel Duran, Kelsea Albertson and Amanda Gagne turned in strong performances.
