BRUNSWICK — Local students in grades three through eight are invited to participate in the Junior Engineering Winter Break Program at St. John Catholic School on 37 Pleasant St.
The program, jointly organized by the Maine Junior Engineering Technical Society and the Maine Mathematics, Science and Engineering Talent Search, will encourage students to grasp science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts with hands-on building sets and curriculum-relevant activity materials. Students will also be challenged in decisionmaking, conflict resolution, resource management and effective communication.
The program is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 18-22, 2013. Registration is $250. The registration form can be found at http://www.mmsets.org/imag es/docs/brunswick-winterbreak. pdf.
