Brunswick police responded to report of a person possibly about to jump from the Frank J. Wood Bridge between Brunswick and Topsham at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Brunswick police say they responded to report of a person possibly about to jump from the Frank J. Wood Bridge between Brunswick and Topsham at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said a 22-year-old male from Topsham was standing on the bridge, and went with the responding police officer without incident.

The man had called police and was transported to a local hospital. Police did not believe he intended to jump from the bridge but was seeking help.
