WOOLWICH
Three people were taken to a Brunswick hospital with minor injuries after a twovehicle crash Saturday on Route 1.
The crash was reported at around noon Saturday. Chief Deputy Brett Strout of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department said Elaina Osmand, 65, of Bath pulled out of Woolwich Commons Plaza in a 1998 Chevrolet pickup and into the path of a 2003 Kia Sorento driven by Maryann Dinsmore, 37, of Saco.
Both drivers — and a passenger in the Kia, Sabrina Diffin — were taken to Mid Coast Hospital for complaints of pain.
Strout said both vehicles were towed and Route 1 was shut down for 20 to 25 minutes while occupants were removed from their vehicles. Woolwich Fire and Bath Police departments assisted.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
