A Brunswick woman was taken to a local hospital Tuesday night after she was struck by a car near the intersection of Federal Street and Jordan Avenue .
The incident was reported at 5:30 p.m.
Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said 27-year-old Chelsea Lallier of Brunswick was headed south on Federal Street and was on the crosswalk, crossing at the intersection of Jordan Avenue.
A 2011 Hyundai driven by 24-year-old Danielle Austin of Brunswick was headed south on Federal Street, made a left turn onto Jordan Avenue and struck Lallier.
Lallier sustained a head injury and was taken to Parkview Adventist Medical Center.
Austin was issued a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
