BOWDOIN — Edmond Thomas Prindall, 78, of Bowdoin died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, after a long illness.
He was the son of Ernest and Christine Prindall and was born on Oct. 16, 1934, at Simpson’s Point in Brunswick. He married the former Elaine Otis on Sept. 8, 1956, in Topsham. Together they raised three children.
Mr. Prindall began working hard during his youth, often while attending school, by digging clams, planting trees, and doing other odd jobs to help support his family. He later worked as a superintendent on many heavy construction projects including sewage treatment facilities in Livermore Falls and Portland. For several years, he operated a seafood processing and wholesale business with his sons. Throughout much of his working life, he dealt with chronic illness.
Mr. Prindall is survived by his wife, Elaine; their sons and wives, Jay and Elaine Prindall, David and Dawn Prindall, and Mark and Betty Prindall; and their grandchildren, Sam Prindall, Caitlin Prindall and Tim Prindall. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Thomas Prindall, Robert Prindall and Avery Prindall; and sisters Pauline Bailey and Sarah Wellborn.
At Mr. Prindall’s request, there will be no funeral services.
His family requests donations be made to one’s favorite charity in his name in lieu of flowers.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
