BRUNSWICK — Coastal Humane Society will host its 13th anniversary Plant Sale to raise money for shelter animals on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17. The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days at 190 Pleasant St.

The sale will feature annuals, vegetables, shrubs, bulbs, perennials, bulbs, seeds, trees, decorative pots and other items. Homemade baked goods will be available for purchase, and the shelter’s new Executive Director Joe Montisano will be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers.

New to the sale this year are high-end raffle items, among them a seven-day stay at a beachfront condo (with pool) on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Tickets for the seven-day St. Thomas condo can be purchased at the sale, at either shelter building (190 Pleasant St. or 30 Range Road) or online at www.coastalhumanesociety.org. The drawing will take at the end of the day on May 17. Visit coastalhumanesociety.org for details.

Coastal Humane Society welcomes all donations of plants for the sale. If you can donate plants, contact Chris Wolff at 449-1366 ext. 5.
