Class explores God’s take on economics
BATH — Midcoast Family University will offer a sixweek course titled “Godonomics.” The deadline to register is Jan. 10.
A university release describes the course as an “engaging, fact-filled journey into God’s wisdom on money.”
“Discover God’s perspective for the economic decisions of an individual, a family and a nation,” the release continues.
Sessions will run from 7 p. m. to 8: 30 p. m. Mondays, starting Jan. 23, at Flaming Physical Therapy, 11 Elsinore Ave., Bath.

SNHU to host open houses next week
BRUNSWICK — Southern New Hampshire University will hold open houses from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 3, 4 and 5 in its Center for Continuing Education at 10 Tibbetts Drive, Cook’s Corner. No advance registration is required, and the events are open to all.
Attendees will have the chance to meet with SNHU staff and advisers to discuss specifics of the university’s programs for graduate and undergraduate students, many of which are available to area residents for the first time, according to an SNHU release.
The university offers a variety of course “delivery options,” including traditional classroom instruction, “hybrid” (part in class, part online) courses based at the Maine Center, and online certificates and degree programs.
Founded in 1932, Southern New Hampshire University is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. A nonprofit institution, SNHU offers more than 120 degree and certificate programs at its main campus in Manchester.
The Brunswick center opened in 1967.

Martin’s Point hosts diabetes primer
BRUNSWICK — Martin’s Point Health Care on Farley Road hosts a free diabetes education and support group from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the last Wednesday of every month.
Led by a diabetes educator, the programs offer information on nutrition, diabetes numbers, blood sugar patterns, assistance with lifestyle changes and emotional support.

E-readers class set at Curtis Memorial
BRUNSWICK — Curtis Memorial Library will host a class on how to use e-readers, on Jan. 10.
The class will show how to borrow library books and send them to an e- reader, tablet computer or smart phone.
Classes will be held in the library’s Adult Technology Room on Jan. 10 at 12:15 p.m. and again at 6: 30 p. m. The classes are free and open to the public.
