DURHAM — A pasture walk is set for Sunday, June 23, at Old Crow Ranch, 427 Davis Road, to exhibit turf improvements made possible with a “no-till drill” from the Maine Grass Farmer’s Network.

The walk will be from 3 to 6 p.m., with a demonstration of the no-till drill — which helps soil retain moisture and reduces erosion — set for 3 p.m.

A discussion of multispecies grazing used at Old Crow Ranch will follow at 4 p.m.

Steve Sinisi established the ranch in 2008 using assistance from Land for Maine’s Future and Royal River Conservation Trust. Sixty-five of the ranch’s 70 acres were placed into an agricultural easement; Sinisi and Seren Huus built their homestead and farm on the remaining five acres.
