BATH — Tony Dance & Fitness Studio has a new location.
Owner Tony Garreton announced the recent opening of his business at 26 Centre St., Suite 2, in Bath.
The studio offers a variety of dance fitness classes for everyone — no matter their age, shape, size or gender. The classes include: Fiesta Fitness, Fiesta Abs, Body Sculpt Fiesta, Fiesta Suave (low impact), Zumba, Zumba Gold (low impact), Zumba Toning, Zumba Combo Core, Cabaret/Burlesque, Country Line Dancing, Free Adult Ballet, and Free ZumbaTomic (for kids).
The full schedule and class descriptions can be found on the studio’s website.
Garreton opened his own studio in West Bath in April 2010 after teaching dance fitness throughout the Mid-coast area and parts of southern Maine for several years. It was always his dream to have a studio in downtown Bath.
The studio has free ZumbaTomic classes (for kids) and Adult Ballet classes to benefit the local community food bank, and frequently hosts fundraisers for a variety of causes in the area.
Garreton, who was born in Peru and moved to Washington, D.C. as a young adult, visited Maine several times through the years and fell in love with Bath. He decided to move to the “City of Ships” seven years ago and eventually brought Zumba to the state. After building the love for Zumba in the area, he created Fiesta Fitness a little more than three years ago as a way to keep the Latin feel to his dance fitness and continue to bring physical and mental health and happiness to others.
The manager of Tony Dance & Fitness Studio is Tracey Bushnell.
