BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College women’s lacrosse senior captain Hannah Hirschfeld has been named one of the IWLCA’s National Players of the Week.
Hirschfeld received the recognition after also being named the NESCAC women’s lacrosse player of the week following a pair of tight conference wins.
Hirschfeld sparked a big Polar Bear comeback against Wesleyan on Saturday. Down by four goals with under 20 minutes to play, Hirschfeld scored all five of her goals in the second half, including the game-winner, to help lift Bowdoin to the win. She finished the game with five goals, three assists and a caused turnover.
The 13th-ranked Polar Bears travel to play at Williams at noon on Saturday.
