BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School baseball team picked up an 11-6 victory over Tripp on Tuesday.
The Huskies received a two-run single in the second inning from Kalob Thompson, scoring Declan Lay and Sam Cassidy, who singled.
Brunswick broke open a close game with four runs in the fifth and sixth frames. In the fifth, BJHS go a two-run single from Cal Wilby, and RBI singles from Sam Masse and Ollie Hamilton.
In the sixth, it was Wilby driving in two more runs with his third hit of the day. Wilby also had a solid game at third base. Kevin Connolly had a nice defensive effort in the win.
Weston Cooper, Wilby and Dolan Pols held Tripp to five runs on six hits and five walks with five strikeouts. The Huskies pounded out 17 hits.
