FREEPORT — The Freeport Theater of Awesome will continue its run of AudioBody, a family-friendly, electronic-comedy show, throughout August.
During each performance of AudioBody brothers Matt and Jason Tardy let their habit of one-upping each other steer a spectacle of kaleidoscopic strobes, LED lights, juggling, music, contortion and hilarity. They create and build wacky musical inventions including a 15-footwide drum set rigged with bungee cords, a button mashing robot, and electronic jumpsuits that create sound effects as well as play music. All of this combined creates moments of thrilling visuals as well as comedic technological mishaps and spectacular disasters.
The August schedule for AudioBody will be Fridays Aug. 2, 9, 16 and 30 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays Aug. 3, 10, 17 and 31 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets for 7:30 shows are $15 in advance for seniors and children 12 and under, and $22 in advance for adults. The 2 p.m. shows are $15 for all ages in advance. Children under 3 are free if seated on a parent’s lap. Tickets are $3 more at the door.
The theater is located at 5 Depot St. Tickets can be purchased at www.AwesomeTheater.com or 518-8839.
