BRUNSWICK
U.S. Sen. Susan Collins has announce that Alex Toole of Brunswick will work as an intern in her Washington, DC office this summer.
Previously, Toole interned in Collins’ Portland Constituent Service Center.
“I am excited to welcome Alex to my Washington, DC office” said Collins, R-Maine. “Alex provided outstanding constituent service when he interned in my office last summer, and I am pleased that this summer he will have the opportunity to see how the legislative process operates firsthand.”
Toole, the son of Sandra Holland and Chris Toole, is a senior political science and French major at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. He is a member of the Dickinson Student Government Association as well as a member of the college’s a cappella group.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
