Gerard, daughter of John Gerard of Brunswick and Julie Gerard of Brunswick, is a 2004 graduate of Brunswick High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Maine. She works as a preschool teacher at Woodfords Family Services in Westbrook.
Demers, son of Normand and Kathleen Demers of Auburn, is a 2010 graduate of St. Anselm College. He works as a head teller at TD Bank.
Their wedding is planned for Jan. 18, 2014, in Brunswick.
