BRUNSWICK

College Street will be closed from Maine Street to Tower Drive, including access to the one-way section of Park Row, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Wednesday, according to town officials.

College Street and access to the one-way section of Park Row will be closed for most of the day to allow the final road paving course to be placed.  In the morning the road will be prepped for paving and the paving work will most likely take place in the afternoon.

College Street from Coffin Street to Sills Drive will be binder-paved Wednesday morning but will remain closed to traffic while work continues in this area.  College Street from Maine Street to Tower Drive will reopen by the end of the normal work day.

Also, the Brunswick Public Works Department announced that scheduled paving along Route 123 will take place Thursday instead of Wednesday.

The department announced earlier this week the paving would take place Wednesday but the contractor has updated the work schedule.

Harpswell Road, which is Route 123, will be paved Thursday from Middle Bay Road north to Dan’s Way, which is a private road. The road will remain open while it is being paved but traffic will be reduced to one lane. Motorists should expect and allow for moderate delays or seek an alternate route if possible.

The work will extend through the Middle Bay Road intersection so traffic on this road will also be impacted. All work should be completed in one day.

As previously announced, Harry C. Crooker and Sons still plans to mill existing pavement along Federal street Thursday, and will pave a section of the road Thursday afternoon.

No parking will be allowed on Federal Street in this work area. Expect temporary closures of side streets as the milling and paving equipment pass by intersections including Dunlap, Bank and Center streets.
