BATH — The Bath Area Family YMCA will team up with Bath Golf Club to host the seventh annual Dr. Leonardo Buck Golf Classic.

The Classic is slated to be held on Sunday.

“Dr. Buck was a lifetime YMCA member who was dedicated to improving the lives of young people through his support of the Y and the game of golf,” said volunteer Anne Page. “We invite people to come out and continue his legacy by enjoying a game of golf and some barbecue, all for a great cause.”

Prizes and raffles include passes to Belgrade Lakes Golf Club, golf clinics at the Bath Golf Club, a night’s stay at the Hampton Inn in Bath, and more.

“Youth development is a cornerstone of our mission, along with healthy living and social responsibility,” said Executive Director Sabrina Murphy. “Proceeds of the tournament help make it possible for kids to participate in all the Y has to offer — programs and services like swimming lessons, child care, day camp, and our free summer lunch program.”

Contributing to the success of the event are sponsors Bath Savings Institution, Cross Insurance, M. W. Sewall & Co. , PFBF Accounting, Now You’re Cooking, and others.
