BATH — Cub Scout Pack No. 621, based at the American Legion in Bath, has had great success in recruiting new Cub Scouts this fall.
The pack, formerly in peril of losing its charter, has doubled in size. And, with many exciting events and activities planned for this year, the pack has room for even more boys in first through fifth grade to join.
Cub Pack No. 621 meets the third Thursday of every month from 6 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Smith-Tobey Post at 10 Congress St. The next Pack 621 meeting is Sept. 19. Interested boys and their parents are welcome to come to a pack meeting to see what Cub Scouting is all about.
With so many new boys, there is a greater demand for Cub Scout uniforms. Donations of experienced Cub Scout caps and uniform shirts are welcome. Uniforms can be brought to any pack meeting, or call Sally Johnstone at 442-0570 to make other arrangements or for more information.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
