Officials at the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department believe they are looking for the same suspect that broke into two State Road businesses sometimes between last Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Lt. Calvin Temple said the first burglary was reported shortly before 9 a.m. Sept. 18 at the Swango Farm Market farmstand on State Road. The business reported that someone cut through a screen, gained access through a window and took $50 in cash from the cash resigter and a cash box.
Later the same morning at 10:21 a.m., Seaspray Kayaking on State Road reported someone had entered through a rear window and stolen money from the cash register.
Temple said investigators believe the same suspect is involved in both burglaries.
