FREEPORT
Maine Optometry recently celebrated the opening of its new location at 407 Route 1 in Freeport.
The Freeport location is the result of Maine Optometry’s existing Yarmouth and Freeport locations partnering and merging into one, easily accessible, state-of-the-art office to better serve patients.
The new 5,000-square-foot office building is conveniently positioned near Interstate 295 and is just six minutes from both the former Yarmouth and Freeport locations. The newly renovated office includes multiple exam rooms, reception area, optical laboratory with innovative procedures and instrumentation, extensive eyewear gallery featuring both an affordable and high-end selection of frames and contact lenses, and improved entry and mobility.
Three medical optometrists from Maine Optometry — Dr. Michelle Broderick, Dr. William Gove Jr. and Dr. Danielle Pelletier — are bringing their expertise to the new Freeport location. After many years of practicing in both Maine Optometry’s Brunswick and Freeport offices, Broderick is transitioning her practice exclusively to Freeport and is happy to continue caring for her Brunswick patients in the new Freeport office. Gove is transitioning from the former Yarmouth office, and Pelletier joins from the former Freeport facility.
“Maine Optometry provides excellent optometric care for all ages,” said CEO Amy Landry. “Our fantastic Freeport location with three skilled optometrists on staff allows us to better accommodate our patients’ eye care needs — from exams to a wider variety of glasses to choose from. By partnering with Zachau Construction, we have a beautiful, newly renovated space that is specific to our needs as a medical optometry practice and to best serve our patients.”
Maine Optometry’s Freeport location is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon. Call (207) 729- 8474 for appointments or more information.
