
The ceremony and reception took place at the bride’s family home at the head of Middle Bay, with the bride’s father, an Episcopal priest, officiating. The bride’s dress had been her mother’s and grandmother’s, and both the dress and veil were adorned with lace worn by her great-great- grandmother in the 1890s.
A 2008 graduate of Bowdoin College with a master’s degree in special education from Lesley University, Mrs. Collier is a learning specialist and English teacher at Hillside School in Marlborough, Mass. Mr. Collier, an operatic tenor who debuted in Tuscany in 2011, received his bachelor’s degree in 2010 from North Carolina School of the Arts and a Master of Music degree from New England Conservatory. He is executive director of Opera Brittenica, a Boston opera company devoted to the works of composer Benjamin Britten.
The couple resides in Marlborough.
