SABATTUS — The Sabattus Rec. Club Running Program will continue its weekly Wednesday Night Group runs through the fall and winter.
The weekly run/walk meets at Mixer’s parking lot on Sabattus Road, and heads out at 6 p.m. Anyone of any age/ability is welcome to join in and get some exercise.
Those attending can choose what distance and pace they would like to do, and can usually find others to join them.
There is no fee, and people can drop by anytime to take part. There are no set workouts or time goals to achieve.
These are fun, supportive, social, no-pressure group runs/walks to encourage people to get some exercise. There are several routes and distances to choose from.
As the sun sets earlier, the club encourage bright, reflective colors, and will move to lighted vests, straps and hats as darkness falls.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
