BRUNSWICK
Planning Board members lent their approval to the Brunswick Commerce Park for a second time, fulfilling the town’s role in rectifying a filing error that nullified the 94-acre park’s initial approval almost four years ago.
After a brief discussion Tuesday, the board voted unanimously to re-approve the project. Now it will be up to owner William Moore to file the required paperwork with the Cumberland County Registry of Deeds in Portland within 60 days.
The four-phase business and industrial park originally was approved in 2009 with 19 commercial and four residential parcels. Three of the residential lots already have been sold, with one house built and occupied. The fourth lot currently is under contract, but was delayed by the filing error.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
