Those who kept their library book too long need not despair: Goodall Memorial Library, 952 Main St., Sanford, is offering fine amnesty for the month of October. The library will erase fines in exchange for the donation of a non-perishable food item. This event will be held in conjunction with the library’s annual pre-holiday food drive. The donations will go to the York County Food Pantry, to be distributed to local families in need.
Saturday, Oct. 3
The Cornerstone United Methodist Church, 20 Jenkins Road, is hosting a roast beef supper on Oct. 3. The menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, string beans and strawberry shortcake.
Sunday, Oct. 4
Sanford Maine Stage Theatre will hold it’s annual fall festival 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Number One Pond in Sanford. A full day of games, food, bounce house, a water ski show, lots and lots of vendors, and Sanford Maine Stage Theatres’ “Senior Songbirds” singing some old favorites, raffles and more.
