From the Journal Tribune: “Those who have noticed the cable access television station off the air in recent weeks need not worry about it being shut down. Repair work at the J. Richard Martin Community Center required periodic breaks in programming recently to protect the studio equipment, and the interruptions had some viewers worried about the future.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Saco Tanning Corp. has taken ‘a large step forward’ in minimizing objectionable solids and effluents from reaching the Saco River by the conversion of its beamhouse process from hair pulping to machine unhairing. … By introduction of the machine unhairing process, the hair on hides is loosened and mechanically removed and stored, rather than pulped and disposed of into drainage systems.”
