Brunswick, Donald Lee Husman 83, died Thursday December 27, 2018 at his home in Brunswick. He was born November 30, 1935 in Columbia, MO the son of Warren and Louise (Hatton) Husman. Donald grew up in St. Louis, MO, and was educated in schools there. Following High School he worked for the railroad for a period of time before entering the United States Navy. Don served in the Navy for 28 years retiring in 1983 as Master Chief. After retirement from the Navy he continued working in civil services for the US Government as a Transition Assistance Program Manager for the US Navy retiring in 1997. Don has been a resident of Brunswick since 1978. He was a communicant of St. Charles Catholic Church in Brunswick.
Don was predeceased by his first wife Betty Jane (Pimmel) Husman, two sons Christopher J. and Kenneth P. Husman and a sister Gail Thomas. He is survived by his wife Arlene Judith (Wade) Husman, two sons, David M. Husman and his wife Pauline and Steve Husman and his wife Caryn, two daughters, Beth Goss and Jenn Husman, six grandchildren, Vikki, Lisa, Lauren, Donald II, Joshua and Katrina and six great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held from 11:00AM to 1:00PM Thursday January 3, 2019 at Brackett Funeral Home with a memorial Service to follow at 1:00PM. Those who wish may leave a memory or a note of condolence for the family at www.brackettfuneralhome.com.
