
This exciting program has been designed to create revenue streams for deserving local nonprofits like Marginal Way Preservation Fund. For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag purchased at the U.S. Route 1, Wells Hannaford, Marginal Way Preservation Fund will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill its mission of preserving the Marginal Way. The bags retail for $2.29.

Marginal Way Preservation Fund is an environmental nonprofit based in Ogunquit. Founded in 2008, Marginal Way Preservation Fund has invested more than a half-million dollars into an endowment fund in order to help fund repairs to the Marginal Way walkway that may be damaged by storms and erosion. The organization has also helps with current preservation and repairs, including a recent project to protect part of the pathway from erosion at Devil’s Kitchen. Marginal Way Preservation Fund is a proud beneficiary recipient of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program.
