Irene belonged to the Eagles and the Alliance Club. She loved being outdoors. She enjoyed swimming, camping, biking, gardening and, most of all, walking. Sometimes, she would walk from her house in Saco all the way to Biddeford’s Dunkin’ Donuts for a cup of coffee before walking back home again.
She enjoyed going dancing every week, and loved anything Native American. Singing was a great pleasure of hers, which she shared with others until she passed. Irene adored her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and spent as much time with them as she could.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; one son, Robert Huot; and four brothers, John, Marcel, Robert and Raymond Menard.
Irene is survived by: three sons, Richard Huot and his wife Judith of Saco, Roger Huot and his wife Donna of Dayton, and Roland Huot and his wife Christine of New Gloucester; two daughters, Rachel Brown and her husband James of Lyman, and Doris Wilson and her husband Walter of Saco; one sister, Rita Scott of Biddeford; one brother, Leo Menard and his wife Bobby of Indian Harbor, Florida; 16 grandchildren, Thomas, Kevin, Sophia, Christopher, Walter, Crystal, Cheryl, Sandra, Derek, Kyle, David, Shawn, Todd, Cindy, Ashley and Ivan; six greatgrandchildren, Rose, Frank, Stephanie, Rebecca, Landon and Gavin; and many nieces and nephews.
