Dr. Carl George Morin passed away with family at his side on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at age 75 in Ottawa, Canada. Carl was born and raised in Brunswick, resided on Lincoln Street and graduated from Brunswick High in 1961. He then moved to Ottawa to pursue his studies as a medical doctor and remained in Ottawa permanently to practice medicine retiring a few years ago. Carl frequently returned to Maine to visit old friends and family. Carl was the dear son of the late Maurice Morin and Violette Rancourt of Brunswick. He was the beloved husband of the late Sylvianne Morin and the loving father of his son Dean Morin. He is fondly remembered by his brother, Dr. Marc Morin of Laguna Breach, California, who also was from Brunswick. Carl will be kindly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors who could always rely on him to lend them a helping hand. A Funeral Mass celebrating Carl’s life was held in Ottawa. Burial will follow this summer. Donations can be made to the Midcoast Humane Society in Brunswick.
