ACAR has partnered with a rescue in the southern part of the country to alleviate some of the extreme over crowding by accepting a large transport of kittens ranging in ages from 8 weeks to 11 months.
The little charmers and some of their mothers have already arrived. Photos of a couple of the kittens are being featured as representatives of the group. If you have thinking about adopting a kitten now is an excellent time to stop by the Sanford adoption center and see what’s available.
Each and everyone of these wonderful, sweet, healthy little babies will be looking for a loving family or a single person who will be willing to provide an indoor-only lifestyle for their new adopted family member.

In addition to the new arrivals; there are still an extremely limited number of young adult cats and a reasonable number of adult cats and number of nice dogs also looking for a new loving family of their very own.
To find a pet, check out adoptable pets at www.petfinder.com in the 03906 zip code.
The rescue is in serious need of good, dry dog food and wet cat food. Food donations may be dropped off at Another Chance Thrift Shop on 37 Market St., North Berwick, or call 676-5599 for pick up.
Adoption hours are every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the adoption center/foster home of Marilyn Harley, 251 Route 4, Sanford.
The rescue thrift store at 37 Market St., North Berwick, is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All thrift store profits benefit the animals. Donations of items to the thrift store are welcome.
To assist the rescue’s mission of providing a safe environment and quality care for abandoned, abused and lost pets, people can become a Support for Life member by pledging $10 a month. The monthly donations help the rescue meet ongoing expenses and continue its work as a true “No Kill” organization.
