Several local students are studying abroad for the 2015-16 winter semester at Bates College. About 60 percent of Bates juniors study abroad, and Bates offers access to study-abroad programs in more than 60 countries. The following students are participating in the 2015-16 Bates College Junior Year Abroad program this semester at Bates College.
Audrey Puleio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Puleio of Saco, is a 2013 graduate of Thornton Academy, and is studying in India. She is majoring in religious studies and environmental studies at Bates.
Emily Pinette, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Pinette of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, is a 2013 graduate of Old Orchard Beach High School, and is studying in the United Kingdom. She is majoring in rhetoric at Bates.
