YORK COUNTY — Upcoming Maine Educational Opportunity Center workshops will give students and their familes valuable insight into “The Essentials of College Planning.”
The program helps qualified adults make the transition toward a college education and is entirely free.
Workshops will be held at the University College at Saco, 4 Scamman St., Suite 18, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1; at the Springvale Career Center, 9 Bodwell Court, at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5; the University College at Saco, 4 Scamman St. at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8; the Springvale Career Center, 9 Bodwell Court, at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12; and at University College at Saco, 4 Scamman St. Suite 18, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15.

• Financial Aid Advising
• College Admissions Process
• Application Fee Waivers for Qualified Adults
MEOC successfully placed 1,073 Maine adults in different colleges last year.
Each interactive college planning workshop outlines the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career planning, and study skills.
The workshops last about two to three hours and pre-registration is required. All workshops are subject to change.
