KENNEBUNK — The Brick Store Museum in Kennebunk is featuring a selection of student artwork in celebration of Youth Art Month titled “Panorama: Artwork from KHS Visual Art Students” until April 9 at 117 Main St. The exhibit consists of a selection of artwork from Kennebunk High School students in grades nine through 12. “Panorama” provides a scope of visual artworks across a broad range of media and subject matter, highlighting some of the most dynamic examples of visual art currently happening in the community at the high school level. The exhibit includes a selection of both 2D and 3D pieces from many of the art classes offered at Kennebunk High, including Ceramics, Drawing Fundamentals, Painting, Metalsmithing, Art Foundations, Art II, Advanced Placement Studio Art and International Baccalaureate Visual Art. The show was curated by KHS art teachers Marnie Rollerson, Katie Mooney and Jenny Kowtko in conjunction with the Brick Store Museum.

As an award for having their artwork selected for the show, the Brick Store Museum will be awarding each student an art kit that includes new items to feed their artistic passion – sketch pads, pencils, paints and more. For $25, any member of the community can sponsor an art kit for a student, ensuring that each student receives an award for creativity and talent. Each sponsor will have a kit named in their honor. A generous donor has supported this initiative as a matching donation. For more information or to donate contact Deborah Williams at dwilliams@brickstoremuseum.org or call 985-4802.
