1988 – 2019
BRUNSWICK – Richard “Dick” “Bubby” Lachance, of Brunswick, sadly passed away on July 15, 2019, at the age of 31, after suffering many years of depression and mental illness. He reached out for professional help, but it failed him. Within 24 hours of being released, he was another lost young soul taken too soon.
Richard ” Dick” is survived by his parents, Lori L. Bourgoin of Brunswick, Ronald E. Winship of Lisbon Falls; his girlfriend Lakotah S. Richardson and their fur baby girl dog Prudence LaChance of Topsham; his three sisters, Billie-Jo Brown and her partner Terry Himple, Erica L. Morton and her husband Scott Morton, Nicole E. Christensen and her husband Nick Christensen, all of Brunswick, his brother Harley Wheeler of Dixfield; four nieces Koreena “KK” Brown, Bryaunnah “Bry” Colburn, Payton “Red” Christensen, Rylee “Rye” Morton, all of Brunswick, one nephew Kamryn “Kam” McCormick of Lisbon; his godfather and great-uncle, Ronald “Tiny” Piskorski of Warren, many aunts and uncles; and cousins; four great-nephews; his good friends, Mathew Tower, Christopher Overlock.
Richard “Dick” is predeceased by both his stepfathers, William J. “Billy” Bourgoin of Brunswick, Anthony J. “Tony” Brown of Topsham; his brother Thomas C. Lachance of Portland; all his grandparents, Richard “Dick” and Elizabeth “Bette” Darling, Rubena Hamilton, Ralph Winship, and William Higgins; two best friends, Christopher Hanna, Adam Aube.
Richard had many interests and hobbies including being in Boy Scouts Troop 21 Bath, being the top seller in popcorn many years. He played football for Brunswick, playing guitar, loved fishing, and camping, he enjoyed 420, cooking, playing with his nieces and nephews, watching wrestling, he loved his family even though it didn’t seem it sometimes, loved music.
He will be missed by all who loved him. Our hearts are shattered by his death. He is now at peace from his demons. We love you always “143” Richard G. “Bubby” “Dick” “Bruddy” LaChance. Fly high and free our Dragonfly and Albatross.
Celebration of life will be held August 25 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with cash bar at The American Legion Post 21, 200 Congress Ave., Bath.
