1936 – 2019
BRUNSWICK – Lucien C. Bourgoin, 82, passed away in Brunswick on August 29, 2019, after a long illness.
He was born Dec. 3, 1936, to William and Clara (Fournier) Bourgoin. He married Elaine Furnas on July 16, 1966.
He joined the Air Force in the 1950s, owned a gas station, and became a master carpenter. He enjoyed football, crossword puzzles, and reading anything he could. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy, and he was a wonderful grandfather.
Lucien is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elaine C. Bourgoin; two sons, Michael and William, both of Brunswick. three daughters, Teri Carter and her husband Rick of Bowdoin, Jean and Mason Morgan of Bowdoin, and Lucy and Joe Darling of Reed Plantation; six grandchildren, Tyler, Joseph and Alex Clavette, Scott Morgan and his wife Somer, Norah Morgan and Jessica Bourgoin; and two great-grandchildren, Matty and Leah. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Bourgoin of South Bristol, four sisters, Aline Gamerl of Omaha, Neb., Nancy Ramsey of Bethel, Louise Livernois of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Lorraine Bourgoin of Tucson, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his sister, Rita McGrath.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
