PORTLAND – Hannah Keating had two goals to lead York to a 6-1 victory over Portland in a schoolgirl hockey game Wednesday at Portland Ice Arena.
Macki Hill and Nicci Heroux added a goal and an assist each for the Wildcats (7-2). Carly Lee and Rachel Yorke also scored, and Julia Hird chipped in two assists.
Raechel Allen scored for the Bulldogs (4-4-1).
BRUNSWICK 5, BIDDEFORD 1: Rachel Moroney had two goals and two assists to help the Dragons (4-6-1) beat the Tigers (3-7) at Biddeford.
Annie Kelly and Eliza Brooks each added a goal and two assists for Brunswick, and Erin Gay made 21 saves.
Emily Brassley had 24 saves for Biddeford and Jenna Roy scored.
BOYS’ HOCKEY
KENNEBUNK 3, GORHAM 2: Kurt Oakman scored a power-play goal 6:10 into the third period as Kennebunk (2-4) beat Gorham (1-4) at Biddeford Ice Arena.
Jack Kennedy had an assist on the winner and scored Kennebunk’s first goal in the second period.
Jordon Kadlik had 49 saves for Kennebunk and Nate Holkran made 54 saves for Gorham.
Spence Cowand tied the game for Gorham just under five minutes into the third period with an unassisted goal.
YARMOUTH 5, MASSABESIC-OOB 2: Eamon Costello had two goals and an assist to help the Clippers (4-2) down the Mustangs (0-4) at Yarmouth.
Marshall Brunelle and Davis Brown scored in the final minute of the second period to give the Clippers a 2-0 lead. They each added an assist in the third period.
Bart Gallagher also scored for Yarmouth and Alex Kurtz had two assists.
A.J. Gass had a goal and an assist for Massabesic-OOB. Chris Pierce also scored.
BRUNSWICK 5, SKOWHEGAN 1: James Waring had two power-play goals assisted by Tyler Niven as the Dragons (3-5) defeated the Indians (1-5) at Sukee Arena in Winslow.
Dwayne Palmer, Clay Parent and Jacob Parent also scored, and Isaaac Karkos stopped 30 shots for Brunswick.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
SACOPEE VALLEY 48, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 25: Ryan Morse had 18 points and Jeff Taylor scored 12 to lead the Hawks (1-6) past the Lions (1-4) at South Hiram.
Morse and Taylor combined for 21 points in the first half as Sacopee Valley took a 24-9 lead.
Jacob Rudolph scored 10 for Greater Portland Christian.
A.R. GOULD 43, HYDE 26: Steve Lyons scored 13 points, and George Hopkins and Mekonnen Nigussie each added 10 points as the Bears (3-2) beat Hyde (1-2) at South Portland.
Will McMillan scored 11 points for the Phoenix.
WINTHROP 49, WISCASSET 33: Billy Gordon had 18 points to lead the Ramblers (5-2) over the Redskins (6-1) at Winthrop.
Jordan Jones had 11 points and Devin Grover 10 for Wiscasset.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
SACOPEE VALLEY 41, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 23: Stephanie Mullins scored her 13 points in the first half to help the Hawks (3-3) open a 17-11 lead over the Lions (1-4) at South Hiram.
Mullins also had 10 rebounds. Catherine Murch added six points in the third quarter as Sacopee Valley used a 14-3 run to pull away.
WINTHROP 49, WISCASSET 38: Nikki Scott and Sarah Warner each scored 10 points as the Ramblers (3-4) knocked off the Redskins (0-7) at Winthrop.
Kayla Connors had 16 points for Wiscasset.
RICHMOND 50, HEBRON ACADEMY 37: Allyssa Pearson scored 16 points as the Bobcats (5-0) handled the visiting Lumberjacks (2-2).
Malorie Johnson scored 17 for Hebron.
