WELLS — There are 557,000 homes in Maine and most of them need weatherization.

WindowDressers responds to this challenge by bringing volunteers together to make affordable window inserts that keep homes warmer, reduce heating costs and cut carbon emissions.

Dianne Smith, a community activist and leader for the WindowDressers Community Builds in Belfast and Searsport, will outline the process Thursday, May 26 from 6-7:30 p.m., at Wells Reserve as part of the Ted Exford Climate Stewards lecture series, made possible by Dave and Loretta (Exford) Hoglund. Suggested donation is $5. For more information, contact 646-1555 or visit wellsreserve.org.
