Rep. Lydia Blume has been a strong advocate for the people of coastal York. She has shown determination and tenacity in her advocacy on their behalf, especially concerning protecting the waterfront and the Mainers who earn their living from it.
Blume set up the Legislature’s first, bipartisan coastal caucus, bringing together most of the legislators who represent the seacoast districts of Maine. Through the coastal caucus, she brought in experts to educate her colleagues on such topics as ocean acidification, sea level change and the restoration of salmon habitat. Blume is a dedicated advocate for our waterfront.
District 3 is fortunate to have Lydia Blume as their representative, and I am lucky to have such a passionate and hardworking colleague.
Sara Gideon, D-Freeport
