From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “There were several rumors in circulation this morning which proved to be unfounded. One was in regard to an accident at Old Orchard and two girls fatally injured. Another was to the effect that a body of an infant had been found in the river in the vicinity of the wharf at Gray’s brickyard. Both were untrue.”
