
He was born April 12, 1957, in Lowell, Massachusetts, a son of Richard and Patricia (Deagin) Rapazza, and was educated in Lowell. On May 6, 2000, he married Dawn Brennan in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
Richard had been employed at the Shaw’s Distribution Center in Wells. He was a member of the UFCW Union Local 791.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dawn Rapazza of Alfred; his father and stepmother, Richard and Jeanne Rapazza of Haverhill, Massachusetts; his mother, Patricia Rapazza of Lowell, Massachusetts; two stepsons, Jason Johnpier of Lowell, Massachusetts, and Nick Johnpier of Alfred; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Michelin of Nashua, New Hampshire; a brother, David Rapazza of Manchester, New Hampshire; a sister, Sharon Smith of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; grandchildren Brandon, Aly, Shawn, Nathan and Nicholas Johnpier, Jose and Kayla Lopez, and Johnny Michelin; a great-granddaughter, Rylee Johnpier; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. Burial will be in Westlawn II Cemetery in Lowell, Massachusetts.
