The Portland Sea Dogs allowed 10 runs in the first three innings and never caught up, losing 10-7 to the Bowie Baysox Sunday afternoon at Hadlock Field.

The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader, but the second game was called off because of rain and a wet field. The game will be made up in Bowie, Md., in August.

Ryan Lavarnway and Chih-Hsien Chiang each had three RBI for Portland. Lavarnway hit his team-leading 14th home run, over the left-field wall.

The Sea Dogs leave Monday for a week-long road trip and will return to Hadlock Field on June 21.
