KENNEBUNK — The Kennebunk/Wells girls tennis team stayed undefeated on the season with a 3-2 win over Thornton Academy on Friday.
Kennebunk/Wells would get singles wins from Rosemary Campanella and Grace Campanella. Thornton’s Brianna Paul earned a victory at third singles.
The Rams (8-0) also got a win from Logan Bard and Emma Chestnut at first doubles.
TA’s Ky Nguyen and Lili Brezoczki picked up a win at second doubles.
Marshwood 4, Biddeford 1
The Biddeford team of Megan Gregoire and Julia Pearl earned a win at first doubles but that would be it for the Tigers as Marshwood won the other four bouts on Friday.
BOYS TENNIS
Kennebunk/Wells 3, Thornton Academy 2
Declan Archer and Mason Burke earned singles wins to lead Kennebunk/Wells over TA on Friday.
Tom Zub and Jack Gurski earned a win at second doubles to help the Rams earn the victory.
TA would get a win from Jack Xiao at second singles, and the team of Asher Thompson and Jack Cannon won at first doubles.
SOFTBALL
Thornton Academy 14, Sanford 2 (5 innings)
Olivia Howe finished with a home run, single and three RBIs as she helped the Trojans roll to the win on Friday.
TA would also get three hits and one RBI from Amanda Bogardus.
