Learn to create a beautiful garden with Old Orchard Beach/Saco Adult Education from 6-9 p.m. Karen Casey, a professional gardener, will explain the difference between perennials, annuals and biennials, sun vs. shade requirements, planting zones in Maine, essential tools, garden spaces and layout, planning ahead for next season and beyond, hardscapes and garden art and more. The cost is $25. Bring pictures or sketches of the garden area to be developed.
Join teen librarian Melissa to talk about everything manga. This event will be held in Hank’s Room at the Kennebunk Free Library from 3:30-4:30p.m. It is open to teens in grades six through 12. A weekly story time, activity and snack time for children ages 3 through 6 years will take place at the Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center, 35 South St., Biddeford, starting at 11:30 a.m. and lasting for about 30 minutes. All children are welcome to participate. A parent/adult supervisor must be present.
