SANFORD — SIS Bank recently presented a $1,050 donation to Morrison Center as a result of the bank’s “Home Runs for Good” campaign.

Through the promotion, SIS gives $50 to a local nonprofit organization for every home run hit by a Red Sox player at Fenway Park throughout the regular season. Each month, a different area charity is aided.

“We were honored to participate in SIS Bank’s Home Runs for Good program,” said Mark Ryder, executive director of the Morrison Center. “Their generous donation will help the center continue to provide activities and programming for individuals with multiple disabilities.”

Morrison Center was the beneficiary of the money earned by the 21 home runs hit by the Sox at home throughout the month of May. The Morrison Center – with locations in Wells, Scarborough and Portland – has been helping people of all ages with disabilities for nearly 60 years with comprehensive education and programming, individualized support and employment services. It provides a dynamic learning environment to empower its consumers and students to achieve maximum personal growth and independence through world-class programs and services such as residential services and shared living, a k-12 special purpose school, integrated therapy, adult community support programs and much more.

“We’re so happy to make this donation to an organization making such a difference in the lives of so many in our community,” said SIS Bank President and CEO Mark T. Mickeriz. “Seeing our Home Runs for Good initiative make a real impact is extremely gratifying for all of us at SIS.”
