A chicken barbecue will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. at St. Thomas School, 69 North Ave., Sanford, in the parking lot and recreation field. The menu includes chicken, corn, coleslaw, beverages, desserts, hamburgers and hot dogs. Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 4 to 8, and $30 maximum per family. The meal benefits the family of Jeff Beattie, who died in a boating accident on Memorial Day, and is sponsored by St. Thomas Knights of Columbus and St. Thomas School parents.

An Ecology Adventure Camp will be based at the Rec Hall on Colby Avenuve in Ocean Park Monday to Wednesday. Cost is $20 per day, which includes field trips to the salt marsh, beach and woodland areas.
