YORK — York Hospital Hospice, a partnership with Merrimack Valley Hospice, recently rolled out a fleet of new leased cars to be used by visiting nurses who travel throughout the region caring for patients and families.
“Our clinical staff travels approximately 2.3 million miles per year caring for patients and families in southern Maine, the Merrimack Valley and northeastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire,” said John Albert, President and CEO of Merrimack Valley Hospice. “Our new leasing program is a great option for those staff who normally accrue hundreds of miles on their own car in a typical work week. It also increases our visibility in the community.”
York Hospital Hospice offers comfort care and palliative services for patients nearing the end of life. For more information, visit www.yorkhospital.com/hospice.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
