ELFRIEDA WILHELMINA FONTEIN of Kennebunk died Friday in Kennebunk. The family planned to have a service for their beloved matriarch on May 29 at St. Martin’s in the Field in Biddeford Pool at 5 p.m. Arrangements are with Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, Saco, Maine. LEON P. LEGERE of Sanford died Friday in Scarborough. Visiting hours for Mr. Legere were on Monday, May 30 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St. in Sanford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at the St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, on North Avenue in Sanford. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, for being so gentle and caring. We are also thankful for the many prayers to help him leave this world peacefully. In lieu of flowers, individuals may make donations to their charity of choice, or to the following: The American Lung Association, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Smile Train or Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
