Robert N. Barra, 99, of Kennebunk, died peacefully Tuesday evening, Oct. 2, 2012 at Bradford Commons in Kennebunk, surrounded by his loving family. A military burial will be held at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at 1 p.m. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Martha’s Church, Portland Road, Kennebunk. Ruth M. Pruitt, 47, of Sabattus, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, after a brief illness from complications of meningitis. Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at Hope Memorial Chapel, followed by a funeral service at noon. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
