KENNEBUNK — At 6 p.m. Oct. 10, the Kennebunk Free Library will present “The Biology of Addiction” with Vanessa Levin, LMHC.
She will discuss the latest scientific understanding of addiction and substance use, as well as treatment, with a question and answer session to follow. All are invited to learn about this important topic.
Vanessa Levin is a Master’s Level Counseling Psychologist with Addiction Recovery Services in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She has been in the health and human services field for more than 17 years and specializes in Addictions, Grief and Loss, Anxiety and Depression.
Beyond Counseling, Levin has continued a successful career in teaching yoga, barre, meditation, and qi gong. She also maintains a licensed therapeutic massage practice that enables education in the latest mind/body connections.
Addiction Recovery Services is an intensive outpatient program in Portsmouth and Salem, New Hampshire that provides group therapy, medication consultation, family education, and case management, to people with substance use disorders.
